ABOUT HUSAN
A Manufacturer with More Than One Identity
Husan represents a different story from many newer firearm brands.
The company’s roots extend back to 1988 in Beyşehir, Konya, a region strongly associated with Turkey’s firearms manufacturing industry. Husan subsequently expanded into modern magazine-fed firearms and, over time, developed the MKA family of products.
That evolution is particularly visible in the two Husan models offered by DIVO: the MKA9 and MKA 556.
These models represent Husan’s move beyond its traditional shotgun manufacturing heritage into modern 9mm and 5.56×45mm platforms.
MKA9
MKA9: Husan’s 9mm AR-Style Platform
The MKA9 brings Husan’s manufacturing experience into the 9×19mm category.
Husan identifies the MKA9 as part of its 9mm rifle and pistol family, alongside the MKA919. The company’s product portfolio describes the MKA9 as a 9×19mm AR-pattern platform.
For customers, the attraction of the MKA9 is its combination of a familiar modern rifle-style interface with the characteristics of the 9mm cartridge.
It is particularly suited to customers who like the AR platform’s general ergonomics and modular design language, but are specifically looking for a 9mm platform.
MKA 556
MKA 556: Husan Enters the 5.56 Platform
The MKA 556 represents a significant step in Husan’s development as a manufacturer.
Husan states that it began producing the MKA556 in 5.56×45mm NATO in 2020 after receiving the necessary rifled-firearm production authorization.
The MKA 556 is a gas-operated, semi-automatic 5.56×45mm rifle. Published manufacturer material identifies a 30-round magazine and its overall length depends on the barrel length.
The platform is particularly attractive to customers who prefer the modern AR-style rifle format in 5.56×45mm, while looking for an alternative to the more established brands traditionally associated with this category.
A Manufacturer with More Than One Identity
One of the more interesting things about Husan is the breadth of its manufacturing history.
The company began with automotive components and shotgun manufacturing and later expanded into new-generation magazine-fed shotguns and rifled firearms.
This evolution matters because Husan’s current products are the result of a manufacturer transitioning from a traditional Turkish firearms base into newer firearm platforms.
The company reports certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001, as well as NATO Facility Security Clearance and other defense-industry credentials.
Two Models, Two Different Customer Preferences
The MKA9 and MKA 556 occupy different spaces despite sharing the MKA family name.
MKA9 — Appeals to customers who prefer the compact 9mm category and the familiar interface of an AR-style platform.
MKA 556 — Appeals to customers looking for a 5.56×45mm semi-automatic rifle in a modern rifle configuration.
This makes Husan particularly interesting for customers who want to explore different calibers and platforms within the same manufacturer’s product family.

The Husan Difference
Husan’s story is ultimately one of evolution — from an established Turkish manufacturing background to modern firearm platforms in 9mm and 5.56×45mm.
